Labour Force Survey main objective is to collect quantitative and qualitative information for estimating the labour market indicators for all individuals 15 years and above in Albania. The studied population is divided in three main categories: employed, unemployed and out of the labour force.
Administrative data on labour market
The publication of quarterly and annual administrative data on labor market indicators aims at a quantitative and dynamic assessment of labor market developments.
On the website there are figures on formal education that is carried out in the country, in time series.Participation of children and pupils in formal education is 84.4 percent compared to the age population. In recent years there is an increase in upper secondary , especially in professional education. This will better meet the needs for specialized professionals for the labor market. The "Adult Education" survey includes participation in education (official, inofficial and informal) and training. The reference period for participation in education and training is twelve months before the moment of the interview. The study focuses on people aged 25-64 living in households.
Publication of wages and salaries data contains detailed data on the level of wages, distribution and their change over a year. These statistics offer an opportunity to compare salaries in different industries and for different occupational groups. Real wage growth and gender pay gap are also of particular importance to the monitoring of economic indicators that are used by policy-makers, employers and trade unions to assess job supply and job requirements.
The "Labor Costs" publication contains detailed data on the enterprise cost structure for the work output factor. Labor costs are the main component of the cost for producing goods and services and correspond to the costs of an employer for hiring staff. Although labor costs are not the only determining factor to choose the location where a business is to be located, they are one of the key factors.
